It takes a skill-based approach to assessment, allowing companies to automatically generate standardized tests based on various skills and then accurately measure the developer’s performance on those skills.

We are currently looking for an experienced, self-driven, and curious programming Problem Setter to join our passionate and innovative team. You will have the freedom to provide meaningful insights and explain data models to our clients is appetizing.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Oversee day-to-day operational tasks related to programming problem setters
  • Ensure process deliverables are met
  • Handle first-level escalations from clients and vendors
  • Manage the programming problem setting calendar for each quarter
  • Test problems created by the problem setter interns and provide coaching to make their code/question more efficient
  • Solve queries that problem setter interns have
  • Perform quality checks to ensure problems created are as per HackerEarth standards and error-free and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Review HackeEarth's existing question bank for technical errors (if any) and ensure that they follow suitable guidelines.
  • Respond to queries/suggestions/issues from candidates solving problems on HackerEarth platform
  • Work closely with the tech doc team to remove context or grammar ambiguities from questions
  • Support ad-hoc requests by stakeholders to add new content or modify existing Library
  • Take ownership of creating complex problems to meet customer needs
  • Attend client calls to discuss and understand client’s requirements, feedback

 Desired skills

  • People person with 2-5 yrs of experience
  • Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and maths.
  • Excellent profile on some of the online judges (HackerEarth, HackerRank, Codeforces, Codechef, SPOJ etc.)
  • Candidates with experience in creating or testing problems for online Judges will be preferred
